Between 1884 and 1885, William Le Baron Jenney designed the Home Insurance building, the first every skyscraper in the world, as part of the project to rebuild Chicago following the devastating fire which destroyed much of the city in 1871. From then onwards, steel and glass were to become part of the skyline of major cities across the globe. Le Baron Font Family is intended to pay homage to the pioneers of this model for modern urban life that we know today. And, just like those original constructions, it represents a family of fonts that are combined to obtain some surprising graphic results.
