Hermina

Inspired by J.J. Herman’s unreleased serif typeface, Hermina is a more structured sans serif rendition of the original, suitable for logos, large copy, mastheads, and more. The type showcase recalls the period of the J.J. Herman as well as Madison’s own grandmother, Hermina, after whom the typeface was named. Type specimens were rolled into faux cigarettes and arranged in a gold-painted and branded tobacco tin.
